Jen Richardson grew up in Choctaw, Oklahoma, and she's been working hard since she was 13 years old.
Her first job was at the Nutritional Food Center in downtown OKC, earning $5 dollars an hour and learning early that showing up and working hard wasn't optional, it was just who she was. From there she went on to work for local attorney Terrell Monks and state senator James F. Howell. The way she landed that attorney job tells you everything you need to know about Jen.
When she interviewed with Terrell, the previous applicant had arrived five minutes late. Terrell told Jen he met the previous applicant at the door and said simply, 'Sorry, your services are not needed here.' Jen arrived on time, got the job, and stayed for five years. That same respect for people's time, and her own word, is something every client who works with Jen gets to benefit from today.
When she made her way to college, she met her husband James, fell in love and moved to Southern Indiana. She and James are raising their three children in the community she has spent nearly a decade serving, and the girl who started at five dollars an hour in downtown OKC has now closed over $120 million in real estate.
That decision to plant herself here wasn't just personal, it shaped the way she works. Jen isn't selling homes in a market she flies into on weekdays. She's your neighbor. She shops where you shop, patronizes the same restaurants you do, and genuinely cares about what happens to this community because it's her community too.
In nine years with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Indiana Realty, Jen has closed over 600 transactions and more than $120 million in sales across Jackson, Bartholomew and surrounding Counties. She has been recognized among the top agents in her brokerage year after year, earning Chairman's Circle Platinum and Gold honors, the BHHS Legend Award, and both the MIBOR Local Realtor of the Year and Jackson County Realtor of the Year awards.
But what her clients remember most isn't the accolades. It's that she picked up the phone. That she told them the truth. That she never gave up on a deal, even when it got complicated. Jen is tenacious by nature, fiercely loyal to the people she works with, and genuinely invested in outcomes, NOT just transactions.
