She found her agent by Googling "top realtor in Seymour." He (name redacted😄) showed up first. So she went with him.
That's a completely reasonable way to pick an agent - until it isn't!
Her house was listed. Weeks were passing. The showings weren't what she expected, and every time she tried to have a real conversation about her listing, she kept getting bounced to his assistant. She wasn't talking to her agent. She was talking around him.
Then she came across one of my videos on social media.
It was a simple one, me sitting on the front porch of a listing in Seymour, walking through what that price point actually gets you. Nothing fancy. Just honest, straightforward content that showed what the home looked like and felt like, in real time. She also saw the virtual walkthroughs I do for my listings, the kind that let buyers move through a home from their phone at 10 o'clock on a Tuesday night.
She called me out of the blue. An unrecognized name on my screen. I picked up.
She told me she wanted that kind of attention for her home. She wanted video. She wanted a virtual tour. She wanted someone who would actually talk to her.
That's what I do.
There's a version of "top agent" that means you've been around long enough to rank in a search result. And there's a version that means you're actually working for your clients. Those two things don't always line up.
When you're selling your home in Seymour or Columbus, you're trusting someone with one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. You deserve an agent who answers the phone, creates content that actually markets your home, and talks to you.
She got a mutual release from the original agent. She made a change. We got her home on the market the right way.
If your listing isn't getting the attention it deserves, I'd love to have a conversation. Call or text me at (812) 521-7361.
* If this story has you curious enough to start Googling - fair enough. Just know that search results rotate constantly and are based on algorithms, not track records. Who shows up first today may not be who showed up then, and search rankings generally say nothing about how an agent actually performs for their clients.
